The
Journey
I started my business in my first year of university while working minimum wage at McDonald’s. I knew I wanted more for myself, so when I came across an ad from Blaze, the owner of Fabulash Lounge and Lashiivo, I thought, why not? I loved beauty and lashes, so I signed up for a course thinking it would just be a side hustle while I pursued my degree in finance.
Within six months the pandemic hit and everything shut down. While McDonald’s was considered an essential service and I worked full-time there, I was eager to return to lashing. When restrictions lifted, something incredible happened. Clients came flooding in. People wanted small luxuries, I was new and affordable, and before long I had a full clientele. Within one year of starting I quit McDonald’s and was seeing over thirty clients every week.
I still finished my degree, but not to become a CFA. Instead, I committed to becoming the best Lashpreneur. I have invested more into my lash career than into my degree because I believe my business deserves to be elevated at every step. What I offer is true versatility. From colour-matched sets to anime lashes, pops of colour, eyeliner effects, and blacked-out megas, my range is unlimited and every style is perfected. I did not walk away from my plan of becoming a CFO to be average in this industry. I knew I could be the best and I knew no one else in Regina would push the craft as far as I would.
My next chapter is training the future generation of Lashpreneurs. Too many techs invest in courses and never turn their skills into successful careers. My mission is to change that. I want to give them not only advanced technical skills but also the business knowledge to build a thriving studio and become fully booked within their first year. I have poured countless hours into creating my curriculum and designing my course content because I believe lash artists deserve to see themselves not just as technicians, but as entrepreneurs who can achieve lasting success.
Colour Aanlysis
After completing my degree, I decided to bring colour analysis back to Regina. During university, I attended many conferences and networking events through my involvement with student groups on campus, and I was always striving to look my best. I used an AI analysis tool to find what I thought were my colours, and at first it made shopping so much easier. The only issue was that my season was wrong. Unfortunately, AI and photo-based analysis can be inaccurate, especially if you are not familiar with your undertones.
That experience inspired me to dive deeper. I trained under Connie, a Japanese colour analyst, completing a six-week certification course before officially launching my services in the summer of 2024. Today, I love helping women and men feel their best. Whether you are a business professional looking to refine your wardrobe, a new mom wanting to feel like yourself again, someone navigating changes like aging or going grey, or simply someone treating yourself, colour analysis is for you.
I also offer duo sessions and colour analysis parties, which are a wonderful way to learn alongside friends or family. To discover more about how colour can transform your confidence, please visit the No. 12 Atelier website below.
